Monthly Spotlight: American Heart Association & 2021 Heart Walk

Raise Funds & Raise Heartbeats

We’re spreading awareness…one step at a time!

FITNESS PROJECT®: IMPROVE YOURSELF. IMPROVE THE WORLD!

FITNESS PROJECT is building a culture of health, engagement, and connection to help people transform lives inside and outside of the gym. There’s power in purpose; acting with an intentional focus on the desired outcome. Combining important community causes with fitness offers people greater purpose than personal health alone; it offers fitness for the whole self—mind, body, and soul. The result? Fulfillment in ourselves, strength in our communities. One of the latest organizations that FITNESS PROJECT is putting a spotlight on is American Heart Association and the Heart Walk.

What is Heart Walk?

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke.

Join us to defeat heart disease and stroke in Montgomery County and the Greater Lake Houston area.

It’s never been a better time to find new ways to boost physical and emotional health. Joining the Heart Walk is a great way to socially connect and get moving – all while making a great impact in our community and saving lives.

When you register, you’re helping:

♥ Save more babies and kids who have congenital heart defects
♥ Train thousands in life-saving CPR
♥ Fund groundbreaking brain and heart research
♥ Champion health equity for all

Why We Walk

We’re walking for our health and yours. For our parents, our children and our grandchildren. Who will you walk for?

Heart disease is the No. 1 killer worldwide and stroke ranks second globally. Please join one of our teams or donate today and help us change this statistic.

The Heart Walk is a time of celebration, joy, and inspiration. People unified in support of a single goal: to see a world free of heart disease and stroke.

Be a Heart Walk Hero with us and together we’ll help save lives.

Celebrating Survivors

Heart disease and stroke survivors are an important part of our Heart Walks. Each survivor receives a red ball cap and has the opportunity to gather with other survivors.

Honor Your Loved Ones On Our TRIBUTE BOARDS!

Write a special message on our Tribute Boards in the lobby of your FITNESS PROJECT gym.

Nothing unites us like doing good together

Heart Walk has always been about coming together, getting hearts pumping, honoring survivors, raising life-saving funds – and having fun along the way.

Make more moments possible.

Life’s made up of special moments—and every day is an opportunity to make more. We walk to raise funds for science that helps us live longer, be healthier and make more moments possible.

With each step, you’ll help cure heart disease and stroke. You’ll help millions of people celebrate more birthdays, fulfill more dreams and share more hugs.

This is not just another finish line. It’s a movement for the health and well-being of us all. We hope you’ll be a part of it.
