Cold weather tends to get the best of us: Many of us skip out on going to the gym because it’s cozier indoors. But once winter is over and spring arrives, the goal is to reshape and redefine our bodies, and a fitness challenge is the best way to accomplish that. We’ve always loved the idea of a challenge. While some people see a challenge as something that requires a lot of work, we look at it as a task that will build confidence and give us a goal to stick to and to complete.
In that spirit, we created the best summer workout challenge for a total body transformation to get you on the right path for summer and to keep you there. Wouldn’t it be awesome to hit the beach feeling fit, energetic, and confident in your body this summer?
Newbie? Seasoned pro? Somewhere in the middle? Don’t worry, this challenge is for EVERYONE!
This challenge is about going beyond your physical goals and tapping into how you want to feel mentally and physically. Through mindfulness and movement, we’ll kickstart the summer feeling stronger.
Join the challenge and earn activity points through the MyFitnessProject App while you focus on working out and being more active. Then check your ranking on the leaderboard in the club and on your app. Challenge details are listed below! Plus, we will be sharing the following throughout your challenge:

WRAP UP YOUR CHALLENGE WITH THE MURPH CHALLENGE
We will be wrapping up our Shape Up for Summer Challenge with our Annual MURPH Workout Event on Monday, May 29th To Help Us Honor a Hero! Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a Navy SEAL killed in action in 2005 was an avid adherent of CrossFit, and after his death, one of his favorite workouts was named after him in a nod to the workout’s military roots.
The Murph Challenge is not just a physical test, but also a mental and emotional one. Participants are pushed to their limits and are encouraged to keep pushing through the pain and exhaustion, just as Lieutenant Murphy did during his final moments. The event is held annually on Memorial Day, and people from all over the world come together to honor Lieutenant Murphy and all those who have given their lives in service to our country. The Murph Challenge is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our military and a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
The workout challenge includes:
- A one-mile run followed by…
- 100 pull-ups
- 200 push-ups
- 300 squats
- Finishing with another one-mile run.
The event which started as a memorial to Lt. Murphy has grown into worldwide participation with thousands involved from every part of the globe.

- To Join, You Must Be a Member & Use The FP APP – Sign Up Starting April 12th!
- Earn activity points daily by logging daily exercises in the FP APP. Max of 800 points per day. Track workouts by manual entry, connected activity trackers, or xCapture feature in APP.
- Track every workout
- Top 3 leaders per club with the most activity points will win
- Each club must have a minimum of 50 active participants to qualify
- Grab your family and friends and hold each other accountable!
- Push notifications will cover workouts, tips, and leaderboard updates.
- The Murph Challenge will be held on Monday, May 29th – Register on the APP.
- Winners must have a minimum of 6400 Activity Points.
- The winner will be announced on Tuesday, May 30th.
- Winners must get their pictures taken for us to post on social media.
HOW TO SELECT WORKOUTS ON THE APP:
- Go to “+” at the top of APP Homepage
- Select Track Workout
- Select Workout Date
- Search for Daily Suggested Exercises and Hit “+” to Add to Workout
- Select Start and Log Reps or Seconds. Add Set, if needed
- Complete Workout
